Assignment 5, Scribble Line
Finished scribble line drawing
For this drawing, I used two full black ink pens to create a scribble line drawing. I wanted to capture the feeling of stress relief in it. The figure is meant to show stress leaving the body, and the way it’s leaning and relaxed was supposed to represent that sense of relief when you finally let go. The difference between the messy and detailed lines was meant to show the tension between trying to hold on and just allowing yourself to let go. But honestly, it didn’t turn out as I planned. It ended up giving more of a creepy, almost scary vibe, which I think might’ve happened because I was watching and listening to a lot of horror stuff while I was making it. I’m not totally satisfied with it because there’s something off about the composition.
